Boca Raton, FL, December 6, 2011 (VOCUS/PRWEB)
Sensei, Inc. has been announced as one of four semi-finalists in the Novartis CardioEngagement Challenge. This achievement comes with a $15,000 award.
Novartis challenged participants to “develop an interactive solution for patients to better manage their cardiovascular health through a customizable, user-friendly interface.” Solutions were required to incorporate several levels of support and be available across multiple platforms (mobile, web, tablet, etc.).
Sensei has long recognized the importance of health 2.0 and mhealth in the future of disease management and prevention. Sensei’s submission, based on the Sensei Wellness™ application, expands on the holistic approach to healthy nutrition, fitness and self-management of the conditions and lifestyle changes known to impact cardiovascular disease.
“We appreciate and are excited about being one of the semi-finalists in the CardioEngagement Challenge and for the recognition that mHealth is getting by so many healthcare organizations,” says Dr. Robert Schwarzberg, cardiologist and Sensei’s CEO.
Finalists will present their final products on February 9 to the judging committee with the final award on February 22. The winner will be announced at HIMSS and awarded $100,000 to fully develop their idea.
